A: The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll start by reviewing informed consent and checking if you have any questions. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, and you’ll start to get a feel for what support with me will be like. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like.

A: Some people come for a handful of sessions, others for ongoing support. We’ll check in together to see what feels useful and sustainable.

A: Absolutely. I’ll walk alongside you and explain things as we go.

A: Yes, with a few legal exceptions related to safety. Details related to confidentiality are located in my informed consent form. We will also discuss this together when we meet.

A: I reserve a limited number of reduced-rate slots depending on availability. Please feel free to ask if cost is a barrier that would otherwise prevent you from seeking counselling.

A: Yes. I offer virtual therapy to people anywhere across British Columbia, using a secure video platform.

A: That’s no problem at all. You don’t need to have clear goals. Therapy is a space to start making sense of how you’re feeling.

A: I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations as I hold this spot specifically for you. Cancellations within 24 hours of your session time will be billed at the full session rate.
