Therapy for Sexual Assault Survivors in British Columbia

Experiencing sexual violence can have a lasting impact on every part of your life. You may find yourself questioning your sense of safety, struggling to trust yourself or others, or feeling disconnected in ways that are difficult to explain. There is no "right" way to respond to trauma, and every survivor's experience is unique.

Many people also carry the weight of messages they have absorbed from society about blame, consent, and what recovery is supposed to look like. These beliefs can make it harder to understand your own experience or to trust your instincts. My role is to provide a safe space where we can explore your experiences and emotions without judgment or pressure. Together, we can process what you've been through, strengthen your connection to yourself, and discover what healing looks like on your terms.

I have a special interest in working with people of all genders who have been impacted by sexual violence. Through working and volunteering within the anti-violence sector, it became clear how crucial an intersectional feminist approach was to healing. The route of violence is about control, so when we work together, I will invite you to have a role in how our sessions are spent if that feels comfortable for you. You always get to choose what feels okay to share and what does not, and I will match whatever pace is supportive for you.

Sexual violence is an umbrella term that encompasses several different forms, some of which include sexual harassment, stalking, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and incest. I am very comfortable talking about this kind of abuse. Whatever your experience is, I will hold it with tenderness and care.

If this feels like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, I’d love to hear from you.
